Jay R. Luchsinger, a partner and lead trial attorney at Horwitz Horwitz & Associates answers a listener’s question on Free Legal Advice Friday’s:
What should I expect from my attorney?
Well, you should expect someone who works for you.
And you should expect someone who is hard working. And you should expect someone who is proactive. And you should expect someone who knows what he or she is doing. And that goes and makes it happen.
In order to prevail at trial, we have the burden on proof. And we must work up the case, every case, as if it’s for trial.
To convince a jury as to why your case is just and why you should be given justice, you’ve got to go out and make it happen – and you’ve got to work hard to do it.
That’s what an attorney must do, and you have the right to expect that.
