Woman On Moped Being Towed By ATV Killed In Collinsville Car Accident With Pickup Truck On Collinsville Road

COLLINSVILLE, ILLINOIS (June 9, 2022) – A woman from Edwardsville has died in a car accident between a moped and pickup truck on Collinsville Road.

Madison County police officials are saying that the accident took place around 11:38 p.m. on Friday. A woman was riding on the back of a moped that was being towed by a Cools ATV.

The moped was rear-ended by a Dodge Ram pickup truck. Firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene of the collision in order to help the victim.

Sadly, the woman on the moped died due to the severity of her injuries. A full investigation into the collision remains ongoing at this time.
