Consumer Law
Rand Bragg brings decades of experience as a consumer advocate to the firm's clients. He is a contributing author to Fair Debt Collection, published by the National Consumer Law Center in Boston and has published articles on debt collection practices for Ohio Consumer Law and the Loyola Consumer Law Reporter.
During his 30-year career, Mr. Bragg has held numerous positions devoted to protecting the rights of consumers and working men and women. He was Litigation Coordinator of the United Auto Workers Services Plan, Executive Director of Lehigh Valley Legal Services in Allentown, Pa., Deputy Director of Northern Pennsylvania Legal Services in Scranton, Pa., and Project Director of the Senior Citizens Law Project, Pennsylvania Legal Services Center.
A graduate of Fairmont State College, he was awarded the Doctor of Jurisprudence by Western Virginia University's College of Law in 1973. He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States and the Supreme Courts of Illinois, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Delaware, as well as numerous federal courts of appeals and federal district courts.
Mr. Bragg has prosecuted cases on behalf of consumers against firms including General Electric Capital Auto Lease, Diversified Collection Services, Midwest Billing Services, Finance Service of Norwalk, Payco-General American Credit, Credit Bureau, Inc., American Credit Exchange, Transworld Systems, National Telewire Corp., Online Information Services, GC Services, First Credit Resources, Surety Acceptance Corp. Equifax Check Services, First Credit Resources and Rapid Collection Systems.
He was a member of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Consumer Advocates from 1995 through 2000 and has served as a Consumer Advocate Advisor for the Consumer Financial Services Law Report.
